Jennifer JewellB.S. in Marine Biology, Texas A&M University
Mother of Down syndrome son Jennifer's son, Nathan was born in 2005, and she quickly found there was a lack of information about Down syndrome. Their physical therapist brought them together with local families who were also blessed with a child with Down syndrome aged 3 and under. Jen says, "Finding community was amazing! Sharing information, support, encouragement and opportunities with families and physicians is why our society is important to me."
While Jen has worked in coastal & wetland work in Texas, as a Breast Cancer research lab tech at the PSU BMB, and in Biochemistry technical sales, Salimeterics, her current and most treasured role is that of Momma. She continues to pursue education in many areas of study, including Down syndrome, autism, and disabilities. Jen chairs the 3-21 Celebration Dance and the Buddy Walk auction. Nathan loves to participate in the For Good troupe! Jen is currently serving as the CRDSS Treasurer. |
