Teresa (Terri) Nelson is the mother of Joseph Nelson, who was born with Down syndrome in 1990. Terri has seen many changes in attitudes toward the Down syndrome population since that time as well as an increase in available services. She has continually worked to ensure that Joseph gets to participate in as many experiences as possible. That includes letting him live with his sister Sharon and brother-in-law Eric!

Terri happily retired at the end of 2024. She looks forward to serving on the board of directors and furthering the cause of CRDSS.

​Terri currently serves in the position of CRDSS Secretary.
