We'd love to hear from you!
Congrats to our New Executive Director, Eric Ulsh!
Eric Ulsh is thrilled to transition from the role of President, as he takes on the new challenge of Executive Director. We hope that Eric’s vision and enthusiasm will be a breath of fresh air as we propel the CRDSS into the future. Eric’s main passions are working together as a community, legislative advocacy protecting and promoting people with disabilities, and making sure our members with Down syndrome have a voice at the table. When he isn’t working with the CRDSS, Eric works as a support staff for his brother-in-law that has Down syndrome. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and two dachshunds. Eric and his family can often be found in the woods near their home in Huntingdon County, which he is currently remodeling. Eric also wanted us to mention that he prefers Sheetz over Wawa. Eric may be contacted at [email protected].
Former Executive Director, Justin Behrens has made the difficult decision to focus more on his health and was unable to continue providing the attention he feels the CRDSS deserves. He hopes to continue to assist CRDSS in a volunteer role and maintain the relationships he has made with CRDSS member families. We are incredibly grateful for the work Justin has done.

This years Let’s Dance event was another rousing hour led by CRDSS board member, and Penn State Laureate, Michele Dunleavy. We shook it out as we followed the instructed choreography, and experienced movement in fun ways through some stimulating improv sessions. This event is not to miss, and we are already counting the days to next year’s workshop!!!
Also, we were the featured guests during Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October, first on Friday, 10/4 at the State College Area High School football game, and then on Sunday, 10/13 at the Penn State Women's Soccer game!
Check out our posts about both events on our Facebook page.
