For Good Performance Troupe

Now in our second decade, the For Good Performance Troupe is our shining star! This vital platform offers the opportunity for persons with Down syndrome to participate in musical theater and performance activities while giving the broader community the opportunity to attend the performances and celebrate with us. ​​

The passion and skill with which director Krista Wilkinson founded the program is essential and is a large part of the program’s longevity and vitality. By her side, Assistant Director Rocky Landers brings equal passion and steadfast commitment to the program year after year. In Fall of 2022, the Troupe was thrilled to welcome Michele Dunleavy, who brings a wealth of dance and theatre experience, providing us with additional choreography ideas.

Our For Good Performance Troupe cultivates speech skills, independence, empowerment, and cognitive development. The instruction and coaching offer an unmatched experience for the participants. Our Troupe members have gained tremendous experience with the stage, and their confidence and comfort in performing is inspiring. When we have a demand, we run the "For Good Beginnings" unit dedicated to younger troupe members (under the age of 13).

Fall 2025 Program - New Members Welcome!

The For Good Troupe welcomes new members from the CRDSS community each season. The Fall Season begins in September. Rehearsals are held each Saturday at the Delta Program High School in State College from 11am - noon. For more information and to sign up contact Director Krista Wilkinson here.

​Where We Perform

Since fall of 2012, the Troupe has been hosted by the Delta Program of the State College Area High School (SCASD). In addition to our past Spring and Fall Performances at the SCASD Fairmount auditorium and Delta Building, we have appeared at Penn State University, on WTAJ Central PA Live, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, the Opening Ceremony for Pennsylvania Special Olympics, Hoops for Hope, welcoming Step Afrika, and more. We especially love to perform for our own community too, with performances at CRDSS annual events such as the 3-21 Dance and annual Buddy Walk.

Practices and performances are currently held at the Delta Program High School Building, 653 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801
