For Good Performance Troupe
Now in our second decade, the For Good Performance Troupe is a shining star in our program line-up. This vital platform has delivered the opportunity for persons with Down syndrome to participate in musical theater and performance activities, while offering the broader community the opportunity to attend the performances and celebrate with us. The For Good Performance Troupe program has proven priceless.
The passion and skill with which director Krista Wilkinson founded the program is essential, and a large part of the program’s longevity and vitality. By her side, Assistant Director Rocky Landers brings passion and steadfast commitment to the program year after year. In fall 2022, the Troupe was thrilled to welcome Michele Dunleavy, who brings a wealth of dance and theatre experience, providing us with additional choreography ideas.
The For Good Performance Troupe cultivates speech skills, independence, empowerment, and cognitive development. The instruction and coaching offer an unmatched experience for the participants. Our Troupe members have gained tremendous experience with the stage and their confidence and comfort in performing is inspiring. When we have a demand, we run the "For Good Beginnings" unit dedicated to younger troupe members (under the age of 13).
The pandemic didn’t slow us down! We made good use of Zoom (photo top right) to continue the amazing Troupe tradition. Our Spring 2022 performance transitioned to a hybrid model that included Zoom along with in-person performers and since the fall show in 2022, we perform on stage for a live audience.

Where We Perform
Since fall of 2012, the Troupe has been hosted by the Delta Program of the State College Area High School (SCASD). In addition to our regular Spring and Fall Performances at the SCASD Fairmount auditorium (photo right, bottom) and Delta Building, we have appeared at Penn State University, on WTAJ Central PA Live, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, the Opening Ceremony for Pennsylvania Special Olympics (photo, directly right), Hoops for Hope, welcoming Step Afrika (photo right, second from top) and more. We especially love to perform for our own community too, with performances at CRDSS annual events such as the 3-21 Dance and annual Buddy Walk. (photo right, second from bottom)
