On December 10th, as the 2024 beneficiary of the Tussey Mountainback Ultramarathon series of races, CRDSS was presented with a check for $14,158.60. The donation was presented at the Dec. 3rd meeting of the Nittany Valley Running Club. “The families of CRDSS have been among the most enthusiastic volunteers we’ve ever had involved in the Tussey Mountainback,” said Mike Casper, the race’s director. “It is truly a joy to support them.” Pictured are Race Director Mike Caspar and CRDSS Director Justin Behrens, who accepted on our behalf (photo by Marty Mazur). |

CRDSS was named the 2024 beneficiary of the Tussey Mountainback Ultramarathon! The Mountainback celebrated the 25th anniversary of this iconic race through beautiful Rothrock State Forest on the weekend of October 25-26.
The race season began in February with a series of "Tussey Teaser" races, continued through the summer with the "Discovery" series, and culminated with the major race event on October 25th and 26th. 2024 introduced a brand-new 100-miler and a kids' one-miler, in addition to the traditional 50K, 50-mile, and 50K relay.
